Please read this document carefully and keep a copy for your records.

This document is written to be readable. Section headings help you find a topic, but every section forms part of the policy.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how eMaaree collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use our websites, applications, point-of-sale tools, APIs, support services, and related products.

A business using eMaaree controls the customer, supplier, employee, and transaction information it enters into the service. eMaaree processes that information on the business’s instructions. We separately control information used to operate accounts, billing, security, and our website.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use eMaaree and may include:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, phone number, authentication details, and role.
  • Business information such as store names, locations, tax settings, currencies, branches, warehouses, and team membership.
  • Operational records including products, sales, purchases, payments, customer credit, accounting entries, employee records, and audit logs.
  • Technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, diagnostic logs, cookie identifiers, and service usage events.
  • Support communications and any files or information you choose to send to our team.

3. How we use information

We use information only where reasonably necessary to provide and improve eMaaree.

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and synchronize the service, including offline transactions.
  • Authenticate users, enforce permissions, prevent fraud, and maintain audit trails.
  • Process subscriptions, provide support, and communicate service or security updates.
  • Generate reports, receipts, invoices, forecasts, and other features requested by your business.
  • Understand product performance and improve reliability using aggregated or de-identified information.
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, communications, payment, analytics, document-generation, and support providers that help us operate eMaaree under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

Information may also be shared when you enable an integration, direct us to share it, complete a business transfer, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to meet a legal obligation, protect users, or defend legal rights.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and for the period reasonably needed to provide the service, meet accounting or legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.

Workspace owners may export or delete supported records from eMaaree. Some records may remain in protected backups for a limited period or be retained where law requires it. De-identified information may be retained without a time limit.

6. Security

eMaaree uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, backups, and monitoring. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting account credentials, configuring team permissions, securing connected devices, and promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. International data transfers

eMaaree may use infrastructure and service providers located outside your country. Where required, we use contractual and organizational protections intended to preserve an appropriate level of protection when information crosses borders.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

If your information was entered by a business using eMaaree, contact that business first. It is responsible for handling your request, and we will assist it where required.

9. Children

eMaaree is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through public account registration. Businesses must ensure that any information they enter is collected lawfully.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as eMaaree evolves or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.

11. Contact us
